How much does office cleaning cost in Helsinki?

Office cleaning is billed at 25 € per hour + ALV per cleaner. A small office of up to 5 workstations typically takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours per visit, a medium office of 6 to 20 workstations takes 2.5 to 4 hours, and a larger office of 20 to 50 workstations takes 4 to 6 hours. How often should we have our office professionally cleaned?

For most offices with 10 to 30 staff, two to three cleanings per week is the sweet spot for maintaining a professional environment without over-spending. Smaller offices (5 to 10 staff) can often manage with weekly cleaning plus a monthly deep clean. Larger offices (50+ staff), client-facing reception areas, and food-service environments typically need daily cleaning.

Do you clean during business hours or after?

Most of our office clients are cleaned between 18:00 and 06:00, so your team never sees a vacuum during the workday. For 24/7 environments and co-working spaces, we offer day-shift service with quiet equipment.

Yes. Mik Oy carries full commercial liability insurance. All staff are formally employed, YEL-covered, and tax-registered in Finland. Your facility manager can request our certificate of insurance for compliance records.

What about sensitive areas like executive offices or legal teams?

We respect every space exactly as you specify. Some areas can be skipped entirely, others can be cleaned only when a designated person is present, and others can have specific instructions (do not move papers, do not empty certain bins, do not enter without notice). We document all of this during onboarding and the same crew follows it consistently.

Can you handle large offices with hundreds of staff?

Yes. We currently service offices ranging from 5-person studios to 200-plus-person corporate floors. For larger facilities, we typically assign a dedicated team of 3 to 6 cleaners with a designated supervisor.

Do you provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment?

Yes. All chemicals, vacuums, microfiber systems, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels), and PPE are included in the quoted price unless you specifically prefer to provide your own.

Can we cancel or pause service?

Yes. We offer 30-day notice contracts for ongoing service. There are no multi-year lock-ins. Most clients stay with us because the service works, not because they are stuck.

Do you handle co-working spaces?

Yes. Co-working operators are a growing part of our client base. The cleaning model is different from traditional offices because hot desks, phone booths, and shared kitchens need higher-frequency cleaning. We can scale to single-shift, double-shift, or 24/7 cleaning depending on your member volume.

Can you also clean the windows?

What if our office moves to a new location?

We handle the full transition. Our Commercial Moving team can move your equipment, our Commercial Move In/Out Cleaning team handles the old office handover and the new office move-in cleaning, and we transfer your regular cleaning service to the new address with no gap.

Do you serve offices outside Helsinki?

Yes. We regularly clean offices in Espoo, Vantaa, Lahti, Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki, Kouvola, Porvoo, Järvenpää, Hyvinkää, and surrounding cities. Travel is included in our flat-rate pricing for most of southern Finland.

What happens if a cleaner damages something?

Damage from negligence is covered under our commercial liability insurance. We document the incident, notify your office manager, and process the claim. In our experience, this happens fewer than once per 1,000 visits, but the coverage is there.

The situation

A Thai restaurant in Kalasatama, Helsinki has a seasonal outdoor dining terrace that operates during the warmer months. Every spring before summer, all terrace furniture (tables, chairs, outdoor equipment) needs to be transported from their storage unit in Espoo to the restaurant. Every autumn before winter, it all goes back.

We have been their moving partner for this seasonal cycle for two consecutive years.
